Michael Eavis (organiser of the Glastonbury Festival) was interviewed on BBC 6 Music today (31st March) and mentioned Morrissey will play Glastonbury on the Sunday night (27th June). Other confirmed acts are Oasis and Paul McCartney.

Tickets go on sale tomorrow and the full line up will be confirmed on 1st June.

  • I didn't think it would happen but this is pretty amazing. As far as I know, no-one ever plays BOTH Glastonbury AND Reading (-correct me if I'm wrong).
Glastonbury receives very good TV and radio coverage in England, so the exposure will be great.

  • I'm going to the UK for the gig in May in Manchester but I can't extend my trip until the end of June for Glastonbury

  • Would you believe my two little nieces are being christened on that day?!

  • Shit! Just realised I've got another gig to go to that day so I can't go. Normally Moz would be a priority but I'm seeing him in Manchester and Dublin already and well there's not many you'd knock Moz aside for but I'm going to see Bob Dylan in Galway. I'm kinda glad I can't go because it's such a strain on the wallet but I would just have to be there!

  • As Morrissey is seemingly playing every festival in the world this year, I've decided to create my own. It'll be held in my living room and as yet has an unconfirmed line up but one that will almost certainly include Moz. Tickets will be $3000 each and you're welcome to stay but it's a 'my house, my rules' environment and when I say BED, it means BED.
  • I notice the website to access Glasto tickets is down. www.aloud.com
I checked at 3 minutes after 8 - 3 minutes after the tickets were released. It's abummer to say the least!

  • Well do others think that Mr N Gallagher will appear with Moz @ the end of the set & possibly play along to a Smiths song as he is so found of doing with "Uncle"Paul Weller..........
