in the April 18th episode of Charlie Sheen's "Anger Management" entitled "Charlie and Lacey Piss Off the Neighborhood" Selma Blair's character says she didn't go to prom because she was "smoking pot with Morrissey at the Roxy"

huh?? the show has writers who know enough to reference Morrissey but at the same time know so little about him that this reference would work to them?

I'm reading The Stone Roses: War and Peace book by Simon Spence, and there is this quote in the book from Si Wolstencroft (the drummer in pre-Stone Roses band The Patrol and pre-Smiths band Freak Party) that I thought you'd find interesting:

"'I just didn't fancy it,' said Wolstencroft. 'I didn't like the cut of Morrissey's jib and the rest is history.' The Smiths replaced Wolstencroft with Mike Joyce, signed to Rough Trade Records and quickly scored two massive hits with 'This Charming Man' and 'What Difference Does it Make?' before releasing their eponymous debut album in February 1984. I just stumbled upon this in the back catalogue of the talented rapper Shad. The shout out comes a little after 3:50 in but I recommends listening to it all. The song is called Out of Love Part 2.
