Billie Eilish and her brother Finneas on "Please, Please, Please..." (Dream Academy version)

Did her handlers show her the movie to give her some grounding in some sort of culture pre-Lady GaGa? Her videos frighten me.

    Morrissey's music isn't for women

The woman half of the 30 ish couple beside me at the Morrissey concert recently seemed to really enjoy Wedding Bell Blues the most out of any song. They left soon after. There were lots of couples out for a night in the town, as with any concert.

Geoff Travis on the Morrissey of today

What are these controversial views exactly? Are we allowed to ask?

How Do We Move Forward When Every Artist We Love Is ‘Problematic’? by Jared Richards - Junkee

Well he’s right, they’re all problematic, even the milquetoast ones post 2000. The only solutions are to do away with art or lighten up. I fear the writer leans toward the former.

"SAN DIEGO AUDIENCE FOR MORRISSEY." - Morrissey Central

So Americans Just happen to turn up sign anti “for Britain” signs and suddenly Moz has gone full JFK?

Bloc Party's Kele Okereke: “I’ve never experienced such widespread public racism” - NME

I thought Bloc Party must be some political party at first. I’m sure that’s the intended implication from the name.

"Screwed up Morrisey poster" by Banksy forthcoming to his shop "GrossDomesticProduct"

I don’t understand the mindset of the modern left. You must be pretty well-placed in society to endorse the by any means necessary crap that they use. And then attack one of the few artists to say something about it.

Portland, OR - Theatre Of The Clouds (Sep. 30, 2019) post-show

I would hate for Morrissey to throw me out of his concert. It would be like being dismissed by Bob Dylan or something. I bet that is lost on that woman though.

Torquil Campbell of Canadian indie band Stars on listening to Morrissey / Smiths

I miss the days when you coul be a bleeding heart liberal yet still sing a long to a line like “by rights you should be bludgeoned in your sleep”. Oh wait, those days have finally come to their true fruition.

    Johnny Marr is gay, discuss

Just think if The Smiths were a contemporary band Moz and Jonny could be married. What creative possibilities.

    Is Morrissey gay, discuss

Idk, but people seem to assume that I am if they hear me listening to it.

Rochester Hills, MI - Meadow Brook Amphitheatre (Sep. 13, 2019) post-show

In Ohio, I sat outside of the arena while Interpol played. Getting my beer buzz on, I tapped my fingers while they played. I needed that third cup of beer to proper acclimate to the crowd as I people watched, first sitting on a cement ledge near the pathway that led to the restrooms, then...

James Franco in a Smiths T-shirt - Just Jared

I wonder if Morrissey ever bagged him, or any other “bisexual” James Dean wannabe actors? Last I saw him was on a Lifetime original movie, which granted was probably a better part than what Hollywood normally offers.

    Kettering, OH - Fraze Pavilion (Sep. 11, 2019) post-show

I stated that I loved and tolerated him. It seems this space is only for those who either see him as a monster or a god.

leather on my tennis shoes. The shame. Seems like everybody could use more toleration these days, but maybe I’m wrong.

Holy s**t Bob Dylan is racist

Most everything from pre-2008 would be classified racist or sexist now. Just hope you’re on good terms with the Inquisitors. Since Bob Dylan just received the Nobel Prize he’s probably safe...for now.

    Kettering, OH - Fraze Pavilion (Sep. 11, 2019) post-show

Lots of middle aged men with their wives and/or husbands. Never know when there could be a Jack the Ripper type. Just so long as the child knows not to talk to strangers.

    Kettering, OH - Fraze Pavilion (Sep. 11, 2019) post-show

It was a bit odd that it was during Break Up the Family. I love and tolerate Morrissey but he does live in Hollyweird, where nothing really surprises if you let it.
