Bidding for rare Morrissey book tops £7,000 on eBay - Manchester Evening News

The singer and poet's memoirs, titled 'Autobiography', became an instant bestseller in October.

Morrissey donated a one-off signed edition to the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals charity to auction on eBay.

The former Smiths frontman has been a long-standing animal activist and supporter of Peta.

The book, which is in colour, will be shipped anywhere in the world and bidding has now reached £7,700.

Earlier this year he donated a £10,000 sum paid by Channel 4 for the unauthorised use of a Smiths song to fund a campaign attacking Fortnum & Mason for selling foie gras. Bidding runs out on Boxing Day
