I will go (to Cologne) f the concert isn't canceled, but Morrissey is a very risk averse type himself when it comes to influenza, rightly so.

The news now reports that the virus will spread worldwide, but it is hard to predict where it will show up next. Once it is detected in a city / region, containment measures will be taken and public gatherings may be banned. It is interesting to point out that in Italy, not only football matches have been postponed, but Milan opera house also shut its doors. So if the virus hits a place where Moz s due to perform, we can forget it. In the event of no outbreaks in Leeds, London, Paris or Cologne in the next 2 weeks, attending a concert will never be entirely risk-free. The fact that the arenas haven't sold out completely are almost a blessing: people will not be as closely packed, and that reduces the risk of contamination.

Olympics and Euro football this summer will not go ahead.
Travel business will be hit big time and already companies in some countries are letting staff go. The recession we have been waiting for started cause of Corona when so many were predicting other reasons.
Shutting down borders and restricted movement will of course be a consequence of this. The price paid for madness politics and almost endless immigration.
Natures way of telling so many people that they were wrong. Nature is very conservative.

I can't see these gigs going ahead, Mayfly. Facebook have cancelled their F8 developer conference. That was due to take place in May. I thought the first article had the date wrong. It wasn't. Other sites have confirmed it. That news hasn't hit the mainstream news networks yet.

Korean Air flight attendant with coronavirus reportedly serviced 400-seat aircraft that flew between South Korea and US twice

The flight attendant serviced KE957, Korean Air's only scheduled service from Seoul to Tel Aviv, on February 15. As Israel's primary airport, Ben Gurion International Airport serves as the main airports for both Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, as well as most cities in the northern half of the country, with most visitors to Israel passing through the airport.
The flight was operated by a Boeing 777-200, according to FlightAware data, a type of aircraft that seats more than 200 passengers. The Times of Israel reported that about 200 South Koreans were on board the flight, with over 30 ultimately found to have COVID-19, according to the KCDC.

it already HAS hit cologne. there are 20 cases in heinsberg, 1000 ppl under quarantine, only 80 km away from cologne.
it"s only bc of irresponsible economic considerations and political cowardice that there are no further public safety measures.

first case of a man who works in düsseldorf which is very close to cologne as well.
