*Mozambiguous's one and only blog post* In honour of Hallowe'en....

...here are the *666* albums that 'Mozambiguous' listened to between 14th March 2010-13th March 2011.

*Notes
1) There are some albums on here that I would NEVER! listen to now. Namely Bruce Springsteen, Neil Young, The Police. But I had to listen to them to understand why I don't care for them. One can't just blindly dislike something, it must be investigated. They bore me, that's why I dislike them. Which is the only reason I need. For some albums I only listened to 'disc one', mostly due to time constraints. I *most likely* went back and re-listened to many of them again at a later date, including the additional discs that were neglected the first time. "A job half done isn't done." BUT! there is only so much music that one man/woman can listen to in a single year. You can understand that can't you, you can empathize. 666 was my limit. An apt figure, you'll agree.
The original goal was 1,000, until I became distracted by 'life's rich tapestry'.

2) Just because *your* favourite album isn't on here doesn't mean it wasn't listened to sometime after 13th March 2011, or prior to 14th March 2010. So don't get cocksure, Buster. Am I making myself perfectly clear? I can almost guarantee that I've heard your favourite album. You will NEVER! get one over on me. NEVER! NEVER! NEVER! And if you have the audacity to ask me: "did you ever hear... [insert album here]?" I'll just say "yes", whether I truly have or not, and you'll never really know.. you'll always be left wondering. Therefore, just assume that you'll never get one over on me. You'll be happier that way, and you can move on with your life.

3) No, I'll never do a similar project again. This was for one year only, and was a test of endurance. I probably went mad by the end of it. Or perhaps I was mad in the beginning, and it worsened my condition. *angelic face*
I have several different projects and goals to accomplish now, which don't involve music. I'm mostly listening to Classical and Middle Eastern music these days anyway. And Rowland S. Howard and Alternative TV. I don't have time for such a haphazard listening regimen. And I don't retread old ground...

4) Any comments which deviate from the party line will be deleted on sight, without appeal.

5) Enjoy! (and you will.... if you know what's good for you..)

*list of albums typed up by The Temp, as punishment for the impudence displayed on this forum on Saturday night.
Nicely done Temp, you are ALMOST! forgiven. But first: you have to do that.. thing for me that I like....*wink*

Comments

Okay everybody, it's the Temp here, and I have an admission to make. When I was typing up the list of albums for Mozambiguous this afternoon, I noticed that one of the albums was included twice in his handwritten notes (The Art Ensemble of Chicago's 'Live in Paris '74').

Upon notifying him about this, Mozambiguous said, without missing a beat: "That isn't a problem...there are ways around this... we'll just rewrite history slightly; and nobody needs to know". So.. he looked back at his last.fm profile from 2011 and discovered that the next album he had listened to after the March 14th 2011 deadline was "Neil Diamond Classics - The Early Years" on March 19th. But he decided "hmmmm... no that's neither obscure nor 'hip' enough".

The next one in the tracklist was Alexander Skip Spence's 'Oar', also listened to on March 19th 2011, and he decided that he would substitute 'Oar' in place of the second mention accidentally given to "Live in Paris '74".

While this was supposed to be kept a secret, I just felt really, really guilty about it.... and I thought I should let everybody know the truth. Mozambiguous will probably be angry with me, but my conscience is clear, and I will now hopefully be able to sleep easier tonight without this weighing heavily on my shoulders. I don't cope well with lies and stress, it usually gives me hives and plays havoc with my sciatica.

I just didn't want to put so much pressure on myself when it seemed so unnecessary...
Because all I really want is an easy life... is that too much to ask?

Increasingly, I'm unsure if I'm cut out for this kind of lifestyle... all of the friction and double-talk... it's difficult..

Maybe I would have grown into the role if this were a long-term job for me, but the way I'm feeling right now I think the position is better suited for someone with a more extroverted personality.

I'm sorry but I just haven't able to handle the job requirements.... and I did give it my best attempt.

Angry? ANGRY? You thought I might be angry? Look, I have been VERY tolerant with you; everybody on this forum - including my enemies - would attest to that.

This is despite you typing vindictive rumours here two nights ago which would be deeply troubling to Sookie if she were to read them, and also to Mary Anne if she knew any English. For your information, Sookie and Mary Anne are ALL WOMAN!

It doesn't particularly matter what gender they may mistakenly have been born into, those two ladies are as womanly as any of the females I've ever met. Besides, everything you posted about their situation is uncorroborated, and I've decided that I'm not going to confirm or deny any of it.

For two reasons: 1. because it's not my place to do so, and 2. because I don't want to satisfy your thirst for gossip. Furthermore, it is none of your business!

If you had come to me privately and respectfully asked whatever questions you had, I may have been more forthcoming. As it stands, you have betrayed my trust, and interfered in the personal business of others; which doesn't leave me feeling inclined to tell you anything. So you wanted to know if I'd be ANGRY did you? No I'm not angry, though I was at first.

Then I realised that a person with power and influence doesn't need to get annoyed... they can just.... say YOU'RE FIRED!! Seriously, I mean it: you are GONE! I know you were only scheduled to be with me for another five days; but that won't be necessary. GET. OUT. THIS. INSTANT. You're getting your walking papers! Pack up your stuff and hit the road!

I know you're not seeing any of this right now, because you're in the other room watching television, but when I come in there I'll relay all of this information to you again. It's necessary to make an example out of you on here, and the added public humiliation should teach you a much needed lesson. And that is to NEVER! mess with a man and his secretaries.

I've seen other people type to their partners on here while they're in the same room as them, so why shouldn't I do it too? You'll still get your reference, I'm not going to hamper your future employment opportunities: but you need to sort out your transphobic opinions, and work on slowing down your motor-mouth. Or it will continue to get you into trouble.

I've shown uncharacteristic restraint, and I'm proud of myself for that. A lesser man would have blown a fuse, and I had every right to after your attempts at slander.

You're just lucky that you stumbled into the employ of someone who, we have found out today, is VERY! tolerant AND level-headed.
