A friend of mine sent me this email (he's not much of a fan). I'm so jealous! Just thought I'd share with you: oh u r gonna kill me, but: i saw/talked to MOZ last night!!!!!!!!!!!! he was at the troubadour for a show. i talked to him! i was up in the "vip" section cus i know a guy from one of the bands. i was kinda drunk, but i was like "hey! theres moz, adrianna would shit her pants if she was here." so i was like: "im gonna go talk to him." so i went up to him and put out my hand and asked if he was morrisey. and he said yes. then i forgot exactly what i said, but i asked when he was gonna put out a new album and he just shrugged and said he wasnt sure. then i asked if he gets annoyed with everyone comin up to him all the time.(cus he was getting mobbed by a bunch of people for a while, but then he escaped up into the vip section.) he said that he doesnt mind it at all. he said its nice that people still notice him and he is grateful that they still like him and arent too mad about not havin a new album out. then i told him that u lovedddddddd him and he kinda blushed and said to tell u that he is very flattered. then for a few mins i just bs-ed him about the bands and stuff. then i said bye and that it was nice meeting him. he said the same. so neaner neaner neaner! hhehe dont be too mad, i was gonna have him sign something for ya, but by the time i went to talk to him again, he left. --- Two bands, Desaparecidos featuring Conor from Bright Eyes and Rilo Kiley, were listed on the Troubadour calendar for Feb. 14. Apologies to Mozzeybite for taking so long to post this, it was originally submitted on Feb. 16.

However, Morrissey is human and I'm sure at times he would really like to be left alone - actually I would guess 60% of the time he would just like to be left alone.
He is very kind and well mannered around his fans. I'm not going into his personal relations and how he treats those people, I could care less. But, I do know, just from being a fan for so many years that he really does treat people kindly when they approach him. And, I've always admired him for that.
The story is a nice one. I used to say that I would never be able to speak if I met him, but right now, at this moment in fact, I wish I could just sit down and have a normal conversation with him. But, that's just ME dreaming at the moment, sorry.
I'm really glad that your friend got to speak to him and to actually give your friend a message back to you saying he's flattered. That may seem small to a lot of people, but, to me, some of the greatest things in life come in small packages.
