"Irish Blood, English Heart" video - behind the scenes footage

I was searching around LimeWire and I found something interesting: It is a grainy .avi file of the Morrissey video shoot, "Irish Blood English Heart" (3.0 MB AVI file, right click to download. Also available at Mrs. Shankly's). The footage is about 30 seconds long and portrays a bystander's view of the taping process; shows set personnel, etc. plus the man himself (performing in front of the camera).

  • how does that look like a big budget video, hopefully it will interlaced with other footage, the budget is big if you mean paying 50 extras a hundred dollars each, hence $5000, camera crew, directors, minders etc, but if it's just similar to what i saw, it's pitiful, pitiful i tell you

  • i'm wondering it this clip was leaked by a crafty public relations person at attack records. not that there's anything wrong with that - the more ink morrissey gets, the better in regards to record sales and such, but wouldn't someone with a camcorder at a closed set with security and record reps make it nearly impossible to not only sneak a video camera in, but to tape the events as well? and then for someone to just accidentally stumble across it on limewire? sounds suspect.

    but like i said, i don't care if it was leaked, but if it was, at least that shows that the people at attack are actually aggressively getting the morrissey brand out there as opposed to mercury or sire/reprise who always seemed to drop the ball.

    btw, this 30 sec. clip doesn't reveal much,
    just 2 camerateams doing a shot, they've
    been busy for 2 days, so we have wait till
    we've seen the result.

  • At the very least those would be great ideas to include in some sort of video where Moz parodies himself. The closest he's come to bringing his sense of humour to his videos was in Alma Matters where he throws the bowl of cereal in the skinhead girls face. That was priceless!
