Update: 04/24 16:37 GMT: as posted in the comments, David Johansen will be opening in NY, not the full reformed New York Dolls.
--- From a post on the general board (link), headlines from Ambitious-Outsiders.com: the NEW YORK DOLLS to open for Morrissey in NYC the Killers, Elefant and Dios to open for Morrissey! --- Mozzeiro de Janeiro writes: Checking at the Elefant page. It says that they´ll be supporting Morrissey for the Friday 23rd and Saturday 24th L.A. shows at the Wiltern. Elefant is a band based in NYC, Lead singer/songwriter Diego Garcia is Argentinean born (then moved to Detroit, MI) with great influences from the 80´s british music. Their first CD is pretty good. ---
thehexx writes: The Shins will open the May 7th night at New York's legendary Apollo, according to their website. Their latest record, Chutes Too Narrow, was one of the most critically-acclaimed pop records of late 2003. ---
