Tonight, on the Craig Kilborn show, Barry Manilow was on, and when he was introduced, he got a loud ovation, and he said to Kilborn, "Who do they think I am -- Morrissey?" Kilborn then said to Barry Manilow, "you know, he's going to be on next week..."

So yeah, was surfin' the tube to where I had to stop 'cos Barry Manilow was on the Late Late Show. He was tickling the ivory a bit and the crowd went wild! Then he responded back with "What do you think I'm Morrissey or something?" very playfully. Craig smiles and says "Ah, yes Morrissey, but before the 80's, I listen to you". Such an ass kisser he is that Craig!

Just tought I'd mention that tidbit. Don't ask why I stopped for Manilow.

  • Man I hate that little prick! I am glad that Morrissey laid the Smack Down on him when he was baddgering Mozz about his "dreary" lyrics and treating Morrissey like he was a wierdo, just because he doesn't put a fake smile like good ol' Craig does. Now, he has the nerve to say he "listens" or "likes" to Morrissey!?! That Little Fickle Shit!! Does anyone remember that show a while back? I was freaked to even see the Mozz on American TV! He kinda looked like my next-door neighbor who mowes his lawn every Sunday. :) It was great to hear a REAL person speaking the TRUTH on the Americkan Music Industry, and American Idol! GO MORRISSEY!

  • His first Kilborn appearance (Sept '02) made me proud to be a fan. His critiques of American Idol, his insistent realism asserted in contrast to Kilborn's claim that he's always happy, and his performances were awesome. But I do give Kilby props for "smoking out" Moz to come on the TV show. Kilby ran spots for weeks even months begging Morrissey to appear even offering "Tuesdays with Morrissey." Can't wait until the end of May!

  • Craig Kilborn is a down-to-earth guy. I loved his cameo role in the movie "Old School". I hope Craig doesn't ask him anything too personal because Morrissey looked really bashful and nervous the first time he was on.

True friends stab you in the front.
  • Craig Killborn's always been a Smiths fan. Has heard him name-drop their name several times over the years he's had his show. I'm sure it was a proud moment and a victory when he was able to get Morrissey on his show. He even looked a little flustered! A true Moz fan, he is.
