As mentioned on here a fair few times, Tony Wilson and Moz don't really get on. Last night on Terry Christian's Manchester music Show (BBC GMR) Tony Wilson was in the studio and was chatting about how Moz doesn't like him. He said it goes back to before The Smiths had even formed when Morrissey gave Wilson a play he had just written. It was a 5 page play entitled, 'Eating Toast in Hulme'. He asked Wilson to give it a read and get back to him with thoughts on the work. Wilson lost the play. It was the only copy in existence and, Wilson commented, "He's never forgiven me for losing it. I felt bad about it for years". He said that "Morrissey screws everyone over" and "treats everyone that works with him like crap". He went on to say that when Morrissey first told him he wanted to be a pop star he "laughed himself silly". It was a really amusing/interesting interview.

I don't think Morrissey has a real beef with Wilson. I bet if they'd meet, they'd sink a coupla beers and witter the evening away like two old dears. Tony Wilson is exactly the kind of sharp-witted Northerner that he admires. A true Mancunian (albeit one educated at Oxford!)
