Moz was honoured today in London, at the Annual Silver Clef Award. He was awarded for his amazing contribution to music and for being an inspiration to others. He arrived late at the ceremony and took photos with The New York Dolls, praising them again.

On accepting the award he said " You must be bored of witty remarks today so I won't make any".

  • Goddamn! I'm not one to gush, but dude is looking dapper.

I have two things to ask of you, morrissey-solo.com. First, could anyone with a Wireimage account provide the board at large with the full-size images? Second, could someone provide me with the name of Morrissey's tailor?

I will take you from this sickness, dinner parties and champagne. I'll hold your body and make it sing again.
  • I can't beleive moz said "you're probably tired of witty remarks, so I won't make any"

    Call the police!

That's all that old man knows how to do!

A first in history! Maybe he is coming to his senses that he should just be real instead of hiding behind his "humour", wit, which for his age is just boring and embarassing.

  • Well deserved! How great for him that he was presented the award by The NY Dolls! He looks like he was having a good time, playful and delighted.

  • To Morrissey. Absolute, 100% guarenteed way of once and for all shedding that over-used, trite cliche wheeled out by every lazy (repeat LAZY) "journalist" on the planet: SMILE A LOT like you are in these photos! You'll never be called miserable again!

  • What I dig about these pics is how Moz seems to have really let down his guard. He's happy for being recognized and it shows. Way to go Moz!

I noticed other comments pertaining to his suit. Let me tell you something: The Man Knows How To Dress. Whatever looks cool on him, may not look cool on most people. How he does it i'll never know. I wanna know who his tailor is too. I wouldn't mind getting pimped out like that! How he dresses now may be making up for how he used to dress whilst in The Smiths.

Lastly, nice to see Johansen finally shave that rug off his face. Now, he doesn't look like a mass murderer. We wouldn't want him to scare children or single women anymore. Nice to see Morrissey have an influence on HIM for a change.

    ...and how?
  • Moz looks better than ever. I love that suit that he's wearing. David Johannsen looks like he's about to check in the Betty Ford clinic (Yeeesh!)

True friends stab you in the front.
  • Has this been posted? These are approximate quotes because I don't have a recording...

DJ and Sylvain Sylvain had been joking on stage and then they repeated the joke and still no one got it. Then David Johansen tried:

"This afternoon Morrissey was given an award for being a humanitarian or something at a ceremony for sick kids. We presented him with the award and then he went off to the hospital and sang the sick kids some songs to make them better." This raised a laugh in the audience. "You got that one!"
