Is Morrissey talking the language of West Ham? - Guardian Unlimited Sport blog
Stop me if you've heard this one before, but could Morrissey be using West Ham to speak to me?

  • I'm sick to death of this long haired sex maniac spouting off his loyal devotion to the great man !
I suggest all Mozza's "true" fans get on Brands myspace site and abuse the Essex wanker!!!
I mean, what sort of bloke publically humiliates an old girlfriend from school and goes into detail in his book about what he "did" with her and then names her !
    What a tosser!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Moz hasn't worn that t-shirt since 1999/2000, and if I'm correct, it's not actually anything to do with the football team but a boxing club.

  • It matters what Russell Brand thinks about Morrissey because?

  • By that I don't mean he flashes; though I do recall a few occassions where I've seen more of him than decorum deems neccessary. Nevertheless, the occassions when I've caught him presenting or doing stand up have endeared me to him. He might have several questionable 'celeb' friends, but to be fair, the guy writes very well, is rather more intelligent than the average media whore, and is capable of being damn funny. This article made me laugh. Granted, that was down to Morrissey's superbly Wildean comment, but I applaud Russell bringing his Moz devotion to the attention of the masses. Moz always wants more popularity, and his current clutch of celebrity fans give him that. I think Moz also sees a modern day 'Carry On' comedian in Russell, not to mention that all those sexual exploits of his must be intriguing to our man. Identification with an alter ego perhaps?

  • Sorry i do not live in England. Why is West Ham so controversial? Why does Moz like them? What is the story behind west ham football?

  • The British Quite love Russel Brand so dont knock him. After all he is a great comedian. Bad hair, but not too bad with the jokes. He is a geeeeeezer. Leave him alone. You think he might be a womanizer? Surely not....it was only kate Moss he was out with on Friday! Lucky bastard!

  • Brand sounds like the average Mozfan. Thinking that every lyric is a secret coded message just for him. It's an illness many share.

Poor sod. I want to attack him with a bottle of shampoo, a bucket of water, a comb, and a pair of scissors.

  • look, Russell is just as much a devoted fan as the rest of us. isn't it better that somebody who has a lot of media attention on them at the moment saying something positive about morrissey better than slagging him off. i recentley went to see russell live and before the gig, all the music played was morrissey songs. and they werent just the generic songs either. i think that any of us who are devoted to morrissey were in his situation we would all be the same.
    long live russell brand
