Seeing as this case concerns the media, anyone interested in reading about the appalling injustices (and appalling reporting) that goes on in Fleet Street should buy a copy of 'Flat Earth News' by Nick Davies. He exposes both left and right wing media as biased and corrupt, but The Daily Mail comes out of it looking even more horrendous than anyone could imagine. Be warned though, you might just cry at the sheer horror of it all.
As for Morrissey, he's got a chance of winning some form of apology on the front cover, quote splicing, debacle alone.

Barristers are professionally obliged to represent any client who asks for representation, if that case is within your ability. You could be disbarred for refusing a client.
The requirement - the Cab Rank Rule - is the way that representation for all is secured. It means that everybody has access to assistance in preparing their defence. It secures a fundamental human right, set out in Article 6 of the European Convention of Human Rights.
