I just endured the presale ordeal on Ticketmaster for the MPLS show. What a joke. Several attempts yielded "no tix available" message. Then 2 tix on the floor, Row S came up. I passed...several more "no tix", then Loge R, Row B came up. I passed...several more "no tix", and then I found two tix on the floor I could live with (marginally better than Row S). And THEN, I tried several more times just to see where the wheel of misery stopped, and I couldn't get a single ticket to pop up.

BTW...I am at work on a very high-speed system and have never had a problem before.

Anyone else having this much fun?

  • Had the same problems right away, then after 6 or 7 tries, it gave me Main floor section 2 row B...so I grabbed those thinking my luck was running out. Tried again later for more tickets for a couple friends, and....zilch

  • but for the first 2 London shows (Albert Hall) i was refreshing like crazy and the moment the page loaded (very quick system, very quick internet connection) they were sold out.

i definitely got screwed by them somehow.

  • might have been the same tickets I passed on after multiple tries, and I couldn't get anything else after that. A friend of mine had the same bad luck; we were on the the phone together and were frantically typing the instant they went onsale. I've since been told very few tickets were made available for presale, hopefully better luck tomorrow!

  • Original poster here. Between my countless log-ins during the first half-hour yesterday and the first hour or so today, I did not see anything on the floor better than Row J - and that was on the wings. Best I saw for the main floor was in the vicinity Rows L-O. Nothing in the Pit, and nothing in A-J. Yet, those seats appear to be plentiful on the TM scalp site, e-bay, etc. I'm calling foul on this crap.

Obviously, the movement in ticket sales toward fan fairness and away from scalping has yet to reach Moz' handlers. Tix limit of 8 does NOTHING to prevent abuse.

And since when is an Internet presale such an atrocity? I bought NIN tix last year via pre-sale...plenty of the best seats in the house for those who wanted seats, and floor GA were let in early and got to hug the rail. Trent Reznor gets it, why can't Stephen Patrick?

  • All sorts of screw-ups with the Boston pre-sale and regular onsale. Missing passwords, mysterious sellouts, incorrect branding ("Citi presale" wasn't for Citi members at all), wrong onsale time. It just goes on and on. For a company that is making money hand over fist, you'd think they could at least run an efficient organization.
