According to Aftonbladet.se Morrissey's new album is number one this week in Sweden, and he seems to be very happy about it. This is the first country where this has happened so far with the new album. Heja Sverige!

Morrissey's comment: "I want to thank Sweden for being the first to give me a chart-topper." He takes particular pleasure in selling more than a Fame Factory-artist who's on third place: "It is an extra victory to beat such simple artists, or whatever you should call them." Fame Factory is a tastless Swedish take on the notorious tv-show Pop Idol... He promises to "raise a glass" for his Swedish audience tomorrow, but is saving the "little extra" for his show on the Swedish Hultsfredsfestivalen later this summer.

There are rumours on legendary gossip site POPBITCH that Moz will be appearing at the free Love Music/Hate Racism Festival at Finsbury Park on June 6th, 12 - 8pm. As he will be in town due to Meltdown and the fact that the Libertines (who are supporting him) on the 11th June are headlining this event it sounds possible. Maybe he'll be able to lay to rest Finsbury Park '92 at an event like this?
