Hi Laura, thanks for checking in on me! I started my new job today--it was good, but definitely going to take awhile for me to adjust and get used to things. I definitely miss my old coworkers. Hope you're enjoying your last few days of vacation!!

Hearing that you were ill is a slight comfort... It's not a requirement for a response though. Anyhoo, i hope you are feeling better now?

I feel terrible today, i have a high temperature and feel really tired, like knackered. Can't complain though...

Not bad. Very tired. I started new medication and stuff. I was going to write because i couldn't remember whether i'd replied to you or not. I have this terrible habit of reading things and thinking that i have responded.

The job is fine for now, just temporary which is how i like it.. I couldn't do it all the time.

The weekend was alright, i don't remember that much about it, so it must have been fine.. I am slightly busy these days and having problems adjusting and can't really remember one day from another. Some adjustment time for my i think..

Did you enjoy the party? I had a moment like that on sunday night when i thought i was working and discovered at 9:30 that night that i was off, yay! I must try and surprise myself like that more often...

.. It doesn't sound very exciting. It sounds like they were putting your joy at risk by getting you to attend that.. Do you have to go back? Or was that it?

Did they even hint towards some kind of point in that whole exercise? Man, life is tough enough without all that stuff..

Hi Laura! Aww, I'm so sorry to hear about your friend's mom. I'm sure he really appreciates your friendship now. So how many more weeks of vacation do you have? I think I only have two more weeks! !!!!! Next week my parents will be in San Diego, so that will keep me busy and then I'll only have one more week of fun!!! I'm soooo sad about it!!! But...*sigh*...I guess it's about time I get back to work or else my brain is going to turn into absolute mush. I heard my new company only allows 1 hr of internet time a day, so I really don't know how I'll handle being away from Solo, especially if exciting tour news starts to pop up!!!

I've only seen it a few times. I took the guess that it may be something that would be fairly light and maybe enjoy the process of cleaning up..

My mother died over 6 years ago, so it's quite a long time ago. I had a very good relationship with her though and these things are always a shock when they happen, it's just inevitable. It sounds like it was more a celebration of his mum's life and that's important. They shouldn't necessarily be dour affairs, i think the pressure of a funeral is grief you don't need on top of every thing else.

Just make sure you keep in touch with him and tell him if he ever needs to talk then you are there for him. I think that's the best thing anyone can do at this point.

Time to get on the Sound of Music soundtrack and clean the house quick style..

Funerals are always horrible things. Did you friend hold up quite well? I found it all a bit strange at my mothers funeral, i think these things are essentially private but suddenly it becomes this public event. I found it all a bit tricky. I think that grief is a private thing, though i understand that people have to pay their respects.

You don't have to have fun, and there's plenty of time for that. Just enjoy the time you have.

I can't really stretch out the whole wall thing.. I am too sad about it already. My mate runs a building firm and Landscapes Gardens too. I've been helping him out, or rather he's been helping me out.. and i built a border wall that's probably the greatest wall ever constructed in the history of the world.. I wish i had a psycho stalker to keep at bay..er, i've actually had that TWICE and it's not that nice..

So minus a Psycho Stalker, i continue to breathe.. How is your vacation going? I hope you are well. Love, Alasdair.

Hi Laura! How are you? Thanks for checking in on me! I actually don't start my new job for three more weeks, so I just spent the weekend in the Bay Area visiting friends. I really, REALLY want to see Moz as soon as I can, but I don't think my new job will let me play hooky to go to Australia or New Zealand in January! Are you going to go? I'm crossing my fingers that he'll do lots of shows in the US!!!

Sorry about the bad news regarding your friends mum, these things are never easy - wish him all the best.

It's been over 8 days since i was last here and it felt like a lifetime.. How long will your vacation last? I hope you get some good time off just to relax because things have been rather hectic for you over the last wee while.

I hope you are doing well? Are things any easier for you as regards to the workload?

HAHA OMG I WISH there were Moz shows for us to go to in October, that would be perfect timing (and at this point I'd be willing to fly anywhere to see him)!!! I actually have a trip to San Fran in two weeks and family is coming to town next month, but other than that I'm free! If you want to try to meet up we totally should!
