I know that wearing a white poppy was a symbol for the anti-war and non violence movement in the 1930s. It was started by The Women's Co-operative Guild. I've never heard of the blue poppy. Maybe Morrissey was wearing a red poppy that looked blue due to the stage lights? Or a white one for that...

He probably laughs most at Alan Bennett although he is not really a comedian. Perhaps Max Wall. Most likely it is someone from the old British Music Hall tradition and certainly someone who is long gone from this unhappy planet.

This should be great. I hope he does some songs from the 'Harry Smiths' CDs. As much as I love him when he's rocking out with The Dolls he's also pretty fine when it is just him and an acoustic guitar.
