    Morrissey A-Z: "Sing Your Life"

Like both versions of the song.
  2. Southport Grandma

Morrissey A-Z: "Seasick, Yet Still Docked"

Majestic. The haunting arpeggio and sepia tinged top line of ebow or muted controlled feedback adds to the beauty of the song.
  3. Southport Grandma

    Morrissey A-Z: "Roy's Keen"

    Don’t enjoy this one.
  4. Southport Grandma

    Morrissey A-Z: "Reader Meet Author"

It’s ok. Lacks a decent chorus or hook line.
  5. Southport Grandma

Morrissey A-Z: "Please Help the Cause Against Loneliness"

Love the Sandie Shaw version. The kind of thing that Mark Ronson has built a career on.
  6. Southport Grandma

    Morrissey A-Z: "Piccadilly Palare"

“Good to see your lovely face and hair” IIRC.
  7. Southport Grandma

    Morrissey A-Z: "Piccadilly Palare"

Another one I enjoy listening to. Just a shame the “no dad, I won’t be home tomorrow” refrain is buried in the released version.
  8. Southport Grandma

    Morrissey A-Z: "Pashernate Love"

Lovely little number this one. Without jumping the gun also I like it’s A-side partner “Fatty”.
  9. Southport Grandma

    Morrissey A-Z: "Papa Jack"

Like it now and liked it when I first heard it.
  10. Southport Grandma

    Morrissey A-Z: "Our Frank"

Always enjoyed this one. The outro was reused and tacked onto the beginning of the song.
  11. Southport Grandma

    Morrissey A-Z: "(The) Ordinary Boys"

I like this one. Are the drums on their own at the end a little nod to Bowie’s “Five Years” ?
  12. Southport Grandma

Morrissey A-Z: "One Day Goodbye Will Be Farewell"

Preferred the original live incarnation of the song with the more prominent trumpet (?).
  13. Southport Grandma

Morrissey A-Z: "Once I Saw the River Clean"

The lyrics belong in “Autobiography” and that’s not a criticism. Having worked around the Talbot Road area adds an extra layer interest to the song. The music is different again from that usually associated with Jesse Tobias.
