YES!!!! I love Marilyn's Party. Although, I've been to one, and it was last years, but it was the best Moz party EVER!!!!. And do hope The Nguyens, do play because, they are good too.

Someone somewhere asked if the Nguyens would play. A couple of people really want them to play at the Blarney Stone again, including myself (but they have to start earlier and end on time).

Here's what the organizer told me:
----------------------
"The Nguyens will not be playing, and therefore, $2.00 admission which will go to PeTA in full. That is very little to ask for and for the just cause. I'd love to see all have a marvelous time and go away with fond memories... I suppose the Nguyens can play except I am way stressed to deal with the consequence of it- as you saw from the drama unfolding with your own eyes the last time. Do let the kids know if you do post on site regarding it. But if it happens that people really, really, really, do want to see the
band, I am open to add to it to our delectable menu."
------------------------
There you have it. I think we can get the Nguyens by popular demand, so let's hear it for Nguyens!

Vu Nguyen used to tell me that his surname Nguyen was like the "Smith" of the Vietnamese language because it was so common. Strange thing about the Smiths cover band the Nguyens is that none of the members are remotely Vietnamese!

!!! Happy Birthday Morrissey !!!
Went to Morrissey's Birthday party last night (May 21st 1999) in San Francisco at The Blarney Stone and had a great time. We all danced our legs down to our knees till the wee hours to great Smiths/Moz tunes. A great big thank you goes out to Marilyn for organizing such a wonderful event.

MORRISSEY AND HIS FANS

Just a word of thanks for everyone who attended the MORRISSEY NIGHT in San
Francisco. For those who wore a marvelous MORRISSEY/Smiths T-shirt, for
those who intentionally didn't wear one, it added to the beautiful scene
and for a worthy cause. With $2.00 admission, a total sum of $38.00 was
collected. It was always my desire to have something wonderful to come out
of yet another special occasion.

Though in small amount, the entire sum will be donated to the PeTA fund.
Thanks for making it possible. And a special thanks for Kimmie for NOT
wearing a T-shirt. And Mel, Edward, Michelle, thank you for making the
night possible.

Never Hang The DJ in S.F.
