Morrissey Central "THE BOYS IN THE BAND" (July 19, 2021)

Dear Moz, You let the *wrong* guitarist leave. Again.

Morrissey / Smiths vinyl reissues query

Would it be difficult for the original labels to put original issues of the Moz solo albums, in their original sleeves and tracklistings, back into print? Even Beethoven Was Deaf. The Morrissey solo album discography is in an insultingly bad state on vinyl.

    Wembley 2020 Album

Surely it would please Moz's ego to set up his own label, set himself free of the labels and their whims, and keep all the lovely money himself? Pay someone (which I know will hurt him), and go independent with his own label. Call it something like MorrisseyMusic. There's labels that...

Morrissey Central "HELLO HELL" (April 19, 2021)

I'm sure this has been mentioned here before, but Yes-Men it is. https://morrissey-shot.livejournal.com/1032365.html

Morrissey Central "HELLO HELL" (April 19, 2021)

I'm pretty sure Morrissey has Yes-Men On The Payroll. Reading his autobiography, I'm fairly convinced he's got a personality disorder of some sort.

Morrissey Central "HELLO HELL" (April 19, 2021)

Having seen the episode, it's staggeringly unfunny - I don't think I have seen a good episode of The Simpsons for a very, very long time - but, and there's always a but - it's long overdue Moz gets his bubble burst.

Morrissey Central "HELLO HELL" (April 19, 2021)

Morrissey earns more money most years than an average person on an average salary, working 50 years, will earn in their lifetime. He can f*** off if he thinks he's getting sympathy from anyone apart from the asskissers. He hasn't got enough money to sue? More likely, his lawyers told him he...

Morrissey Central "HELLO HELL" (April 19, 2021)

Go back to crying in your mansion, you f***ing idiot. Ever heard of The Streisand Effect?

Morrissey Central "Social Media" (March 25, 2021)

No "official" is a nice way of saying he probably has an anonymous account there, possibly RT-ing lots of political stuff.

"Honey You Know Where To Find Me" #23 in UK best selling vinyl singles of 2020 - NME

Why? Pink Floyd have a lot more fans, play bigger venues in the days of solo touring, sell more records, and the only other place you could get that song was a 7" in a £429 box set.

Morrissey Central "Alert!" (October 26, 2020)

Van Morrison's a great artist? That is slander.

Morrissey Central "Alert!" (October 26, 2020)

Bollocks. Moz has no label he can be fired from, and a direct and unfiltered line to us through his site. If its unpublished it's either because he's slandering people (not inconceivable knowing his past form), or he doesn't want it to be.

    The Origin Of Morrissey Dissent

For me at least, the rot was nothing to do with the albums, but to do with the "All The Band Must Wear Outfits I Pick" era, and the lack of touring around Southpaw/Maladjusted in Europe (i.e. you either see him supporting Bowie, or you go to London). Though for me, the real dissent came around...

"Honey, You Know Where To Find Me" enters vinyl singles chart at number 2 (September 4-10, 2020)

Someone needs to shoot Moz with a reality gun. A one sided Record Store Day 10" of three songs he thought weren't good enough to stick out at the time is never going to get radio play 25 years after they were recorded.

Johnny Marr's son calls Morrissey a racist on Instagram

Neither of them need it or want it. If someone offered me an enormous amount of money to be close to someone I split up with 30 years ago, I'd have to be broke and facing ruin to even consider it, and even then I probably wouldn't.

Johnny Marr's son calls Morrissey a racist on Instagram

Do you genuinely think that Marr is hankering for a Smiths reunion? I wouldn't go see Morrissey/Marr if they played anywhere more than ten minutes walk from my house. The past is gone.

Johnny Marr's son calls Morrissey a racist on Instagram

Ha ha. No. Johnny joined The The in 1988 after Matt had written almost all of "Mind Bomb", and again, by 1992 when they were recording "Dusk", Johnny was spending all his time in Electronic during the writing period.

Johnny Marr's son calls Morrissey a racist on Instagram

That's largely because Moz peevishly insists on "No Smiths questions", and if he's asked about them in his usual email format doesn't bother to answer .

Johnny Marr's son calls Morrissey a racist on Instagram

Moz needed to meet someone else to provide music. Marr didn't.

Johnny Marr's son calls Morrissey a racist on Instagram

The way I read the The The book was that Marr would've gone to The The if RT hadn't taken up The Smiths demo tape. According to Marr, he agreed to join if he could get to London. I quoted Marr's exact words up the page.
