    You can't hold it against them if you believe that cultural/intellectual development is somehow limited to a school environment. I know people who went to school until they were 15, and still know about Stalin, Mao or Marx.

    I don't know what you detect - but consider this: not maturing emotionally, socially or mentally is considered a medical condition. You wouldn't have been able to ask that very question if you hadn't "matured". And those that didn't mature, won't be able to answer your question. That's all...
