Friends,
Wanted to share details about the great event we'll be part of to celebrate Morrissey's birthday in NYC. It's going to be a great night, including DJ Matt Heart Spade, a reading by Tony Fletcher (author of A Light That Never Goes Out), and a Smiths-inspired congregation of vegetarian food and fashion.

Here's a nice write up from our sponsors Raven & Crow, an animal-friendly design shop in Brooklyn.

And here's a link to tickets. Right now, until friday night at 8pm, tickets will be $2 off ($10 rather than $12), using the code "MEAT IS MURDER"

cheers!

Here are the full details:

Our heart was full this Valentine’s Day, and now that spring is here, we’ve planned NYC’s most meaningful birthday celebration for Morrissey, who will turn 54 on May 22nd.

The venue will be our beloved home stage The Bell House. Our friend, blogger, and uber-moz-fan DJ Matt Heart Spade will be spinning when we’re not playing. Preceding us will be a reading by Tony Fletcher, author of A Light That Never Goes Out: The Enduring Saga of The Smiths. If you haven’t read it, it’s a fantastic and refreshing look at the band’s story and its music. And as a tribute to Morrissey’s lifelong advocacy on behalf of animals, our sponsors, the brilliant design shop Raven & Crow Studio, have organized a gathering of vegetarian food, fashion and culture to be on hand at the Bell House.

So come early, come hungry, curious, and let’s show Morrissey how much miss him as he recovers from his recent ailments. And we’ll, of course, provide the songs that saved your lives.

Get your tickets now, this will likely sell out. As an added incentive, we’ll be thanking our advanced ticket holders by randomly selecting winners to receive one of several veg friendly (and Moz approved) gifts from our partners, who you’ll be hearing about in the coming weeks.

Love, The Sons & Heirs
