When I was younger, I absolutely did this with my dog with no problems. Its not like the dog is slobbering all over your fork.....at least mine didn't. If I held a piece of meat on the end of a fork, she'd pull it off without even touching the prongs.

Besides, I always hear their mouths are "cleaner" than a humans?

My kittyboy had a nice spoon-full of corn last night, he enjoyed it. I then wiped off the spoon and ate the rest of my corn.
