How much would you pay if Morrissey did a "Meet 'n' Greet" pre gigs?

Think he did do something similar.

Didn’t the fan shown in the (BBC?) Morrissey documentary
win a meet and greet with him?
One person winning a competition is different to x amount of fans paying x amount of money to see him.

One issue surrounding the meet n greets I just remembered is how with some bands it helps finance the tour, especially for UK bands coming over to the States and playing smaller venues.
It may have been The Alarm but not 100% sure. I read an interview where they defended having 25 people x $250 each for a meet n greet with a total (if all sold) of $6,250 per gig. They said without that they probably wouldn't have been able to do the tour financially and it made it sustainable as there were 4 band members, 2 roadies, a merchandiser and the bus driver on the tour.

yes but that was because she won a competition years earlier and think she went into labour or was ill or something like that.

Ok interesting.

Could be an option for Morrissey if he can bear it. There will be fans willing, so why not. Merch is merch, even if it might be a dream come true for some out there.

I’d never. but $6-700 including ticket, seems about right,I guess.

I probably would be tempted, but I would rather have a chat with him over a pint of Guinness. They I could ask him all those questions I've always wanted to, like why have all of his latest album covers been completely embarrassing dog shite.
That meeting would last fewer than 3 seconds.

I’ll pay 1500 quid. I know it’s not enough, but anymore would be sinful. I want a 🤳, 3 sentences and a frown. I’ll be satisfied. PM me if it’s on.

I'd pay him £1500, but I'd want 15 minutes...

its just that i feel like if i got three second to talk to him i could ask him in that time if i could go blazer shopping with him and he would know right away that we were kindred spirits and undoubtedly say yes, and thus would be the beginning of a beautiful friendship. because THATS HOW ITS DONE!!!!

I wouldn't pay anything, not sure why anybody would want to either. You're not going to get anything of interest from him, he's always been very secretive about his life, so why would he open up to someone who's paid x.

You're probably better dropping Aztec a 100 quid/bucks as he knows Morrissey better that anyone, even Sam.

people pay $1,000 for a ticket so you know there'd be takers at $2,500....

If he starts doing this, he might as well start selling shout outs on Cameo as well.

:lbf:
there is not going to be any meet and greet with trolls and/or members
of the :banned:listo_O

maybe an imaginary one to go along with the imaginary show attendance
and imaginary discogs/ebay cut and paste swag:lbf:

Just bare with me for a moment before diving in..... I know he wouldn't ever do such a thing, but I was in a casino in Vegas today and there was an advert for a Sammy Hagar concert coming up.
General admission was $150 and "meet n greet" was $650 including the GA ticket - so $500 to meet him for 3 seconds and a quick selfie.
So just posing the question that IF (and yes I know he wouldn't) this was on offer at a Morrissey gig, would you pay $500 for the pleasure?
I wouldn't.
Ive met him once and could have met him another time BUT he was too drunk , so didnt bother. I would never pay to see Morrissey or anyone , its just so forced and fake... and when the star sees you , he thinks "quarry" , at best

$500 for the meet and greet alone sounds about right.

I expect it’s something he would do. It’s not a great leap, conceptually or ethically, from those extortionately expensive Vegas tickets at/near the front to a costly ‘meet and greet’ upgrade.

I did something slightly similar with Chris Isaak: £20 for a photo, an autograph and a brief chat. So I’d stretch to £25 for Morrissey.

Australia - didn’t she end up waiting a few years for it ?? IIRC
She won the contest in 1992 and didn’t get to meet him until 2002. How that thing didn’t just fizzle out is incredible.
