This song has such a special place in my heart... to hear this little girl up there butchering it, having no clue how - ok, I'll say it - holy it is to some people out there, like me... it just makes me want to cry and/or vomit. :sick: :tears:

It's deeply personal to me... it's tied in with the memory of my late brother and mom, and it's just such a brilliantly beautiful song. It's not for just anyone to get up there and "sing". That's just the way I feel. :head-smack:

I imagine some young "Miley Cyrus" fan first being exposed to The Smiths because of her :guitar:
then finding the original, loving it, seeking out more of their songs, eventually those of Morrissey as well :)
so I cannot think of her doing this as a bad thing :o
