he wanted to do a twist on the sidekick. Adam was
supposed to be like how Ed McMahon just sat there
and laughed at Johnny, except even more inept.
Norm also choose Adam, because Adam wasn't a
comedian. Norm thought a comedian would try to
come back with lines and try to be to funny.

thanks for the background, Turk! i didnt know that adam wasnt a comedian (it's true what verso says that i hardly knew anything about norm before any of this ). i thought he was and that that was just his shtick because he plays the role so well!
