Yes precisely. Like I did decades ago when I sketched the barn at a foster home in Vankleek Hill, Ontario. The only decent memory I have of being there. It grounded me.
I listened to Alice Cooper and that singer from Led Zeppelin, I forget his name. I was miserable. But sketching the barn felt good. Without music, in a tractor in a field alone.
The nurses didn't give back my charging cables. I was given one that shorted out, so I can't so easily record my painting. If I put my thinking cap on, I may be able to record, and listen to Morrissey while painting later today.
