Houdini you are a wondferful human being, gratitude doesnt come close.
Well done on this project, it has been hugely interesting and entertaining for the whole 9 months.:D

Congratulations on the hard work, thank you and... I hpe you're ready to hear us roar with the results, we'll all have something to shout about ;)

For instance, I love The harsh.....

Ah... I really like He Cried, Lazy Dykes and Noise. But I'm surprised at how high the scores are. Technically, over a six is above average. So only seven songs in the entire canon are deemed below average...

But The Harsh Truth should be bottom!

Sad to see Slums Mums so low, probably one of my favourite songs :(

Thanks for this Houdini, i think i managed to vote on every song

Thanks all, but (without wanting to give anything away) the pleasure and privilige was entirely mine!

Well, this is a fan's forum, so the law of averages is a bit off here.

Actually, the average song score is 7,95, so anything under 7 is way below average.

The average Smiths song score is 8,56.
The average Moz song score is 7,68.

Yes, but there are, ahem, no law of averages here: 7.95 is average for a Morrissey song. Which just goes to show that an average Morrissey song is actually very good! The way I voted, if I thought it was average, I gave it a 6. So anything above a 6 is above my conception of average, unless people voted a different way. Now as for a Smiths song being 8.56 and a Moz solo song being 7.68... I'm starting to get a headache.

Thanks, Houdini! It's been very interesting.

Curiously, your results come out as the Greatest Hits are due. La Commie made the sage comment that if Moz wanted to do a proper Greatest Hits, all he would've had to do was wait and consult this very poll!

Has it really been NINE months?
blimey....
how time flies... LOL

Thanks for all the hard work, Houdini. It's really interesting to see what the general opinion is, confirming I don't agree with everyone all the time - but then I knew that already. :)

Great job on keeping this going over the past nine months, Houdini. I hope your results get reprinted somewhere and you get credited. Aside from all the interesting statistics, it also serves as an archived message thread for every song in the catalogue!

I should not read this, it is too much pain in the ass - Satan rejected my soul better than Certain people I know ... I'd rather die

It says a hell of alot about the quality of the artist when classics like Meat is Murder, Shakespears Sister, The Loop, You have killed me, Never had no one ever, Death of a disco dancer and Glamorous Glue (and many more) dont even make the top 100.

Incredible back catalogue.

Thanks again Houdini - how come you took off the dates?
