What are your ten favorite Morrissey songs?

My list (not in numerical order).

* "Bengali in Platforms"

* "Striptease with a Difference"

* "Happy Lovers At Last United"

* "Piccadilly Palare"

* "Seasick, Yet Still Docked"

* "Have-a-Go Merchant"

* "Sunny"

* "Ammunition"

* "I'm Playing Easy to Get"

* "Smiler With Knife"

* If I were to pick a favorite Morrissey song it would either be "Happy Lovers At Last United" or "Sunny."

What an interesting list. I've forgotten about "playing east to get". I'm going to listen to it 100 times today.

I'm going to hold back on answering though because as you might have noticed in that "create your Morrissey 'best of' album thread" I found it difficult to keep it under 20 or 30 songs. 10 seems impossible! But oh fine I'll try:

"Suedehead"
"Best Friend On the Payroll"
"Nobody Loves Us"
"Lost"
"My Love Life"
"Jack the Ripper"
"Sunny"
"Now My Heart Is Full"
"The National Front Disco"
"Tomorrow"

Obviously this doesn't do his entire catalogue justice.

This is f***ed up but I just realised that Suedehead refers to the action of getting head (the quality of said head) not one's haircut. Surely I'm not losing it? After all it's part of the "good lay" Morrissey refers to. Oh the revelations one has on the day off...

Please, please, please, let me get what I want
Well I wonder
The Headmaster Ritual
I know it's over
There is a light that never goes out
This Charming Man
Rusholme Ruffians
What she said

1. It's Not your Birthday Anymore

2. You Were Good in Your Time

3. I Will See You In Far Off Places

4. You Have Killed Me

5. Life is a Pigsty

6. The youngest Was the Most Loved
7. Munich Air Disaster 1958
8. First of the Gang to Die
9. Istanbul

10. One of Our Own.....Give me the gun, a job half done isn't done.

I like all of Morrissey's work but to me....he really hit his stride with You Are the Quarry, and every album after.
