I find it hard to believe but today marks 10 years of Morrissey-solo, launched on Feb. 12, 1997. There have been a lot of changes along the way but the site remains the same in spirit. It's been an eventful 10 years, there has not been a span of more than about 10 days without some sort of update or news item. I have fantastic memories of the site and people I have met along the way.

Thanks to all contributors past and present for sharing your interest in Morrissey.

Just a reminder that from today through until Sunday the 18th is the download ‘Life Is A Pigsty’ into the charts week

If you're not familiar with the available download sites then you can visit the ‘where to download’ section on the http://www.getmozinthecharts.vze.com/ website, where you will find a list of download sites.

NON-UK FANS can also find options in the ‘where to download’ section on how you can take part.

Also I’d just like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has helped and shown support for this experiment, especially robertzombie who created and set up the website. Your efforts are very much appreciated.

I’ve said this a number of times, but for this to work we need everyone to get involved so please download ‘Life Is A Pigsty’ and let’s show Radio 1 what real music sounds like.

Together we can make this happen.

Thank you

Ryan McGinley talks about his photographs of Morrissey concerts with Ana Finel Honigman - The Sattchi Gallery blog

For the past two years, Ryan McGinley has traveled throughout the US, UK, France and Mexico attending Morrissey concerts and photographing every conceivable aspect and angle of the performances. We walked through McGinley's exhibition 'Irregular Regulars' at New York's TEAM gallery (until 10 February) and discussed the individual stories behind each of the 20 images he culled from the thousands he took.

From LA Weekly:

LA Weekly Clarification

In last week’s cover story [“Moz the Cat,” Feb. 2–8], Morrissey denied that the Smiths’ “How Soon Is Now” had been used to sell cars. We’ve since learned it was used to push both Japanese cars and Canadian beer. We regret the error, and we are sure Morrissey does too.

I'm carrying out a performance art piece on Sunday 25th February 2007 on London Bridge (Monument side) at 7.30am.

I will be dropping a concrete cast lifebouy that I spent a few months working on into the Thames, initially inspired by the track 'Rubber Ring'.

Please join me and/or contact me for further details.
