"California Son" enters at #4 in UK album charts; #1 in UK vinyl album charts

Number 1 on the vinyl chart. It’s a shame that Spillers missed out, isn’t it? Great news for a great album.

The world's oldest music store Spillers Records bans Morrissey albums

Well, indeed, that’s what I was saying; I don’t think I’m missing the point at all. Morrissey generates sales and the shop not stocking his material will deprive them of sales. People vote with their wallet and go elsewhere. It’s only the shop at a loss.

The world's oldest music store Spillers Records bans Morrissey albums

It’s a very strange stance to take and opens a can of worms about who else you “ban” based on morals. It’s a bit of publicity for the shop, but what will it achieve? Morrissey does well in the vinyl charts, so not stocking his material will only deprive them of sales. Fans will go elsewhere and...

Morrissey on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" (May 13, 2019) - reminder / reports

Great performance and really good quality recording too. Morrissey looked like he was prepping the cable to throttle Fallon in the closing seconds of the video!

"Wedding Bell Blues" - vinyl 45 released today (10 May, 2019)

I’ve seen it for £7.99 at a few places, but I suppose it evens out by the time you’ve paid postage, unless you happen to have a shop nearby.

"Wedding Bell Blues" - vinyl 45 released today (10 May, 2019)

Picked mine up from HMV at the staggering price of £9.99! HMV have been really competitive in recent years - which is why it’s been a shame to see their decline - so this was a bit of a disappointment. Still, I think Morrissey releases are the only singles they really stock now. I had a lovely...

Wedding Bell Blues makes Radio 2's 'A List' & Telegraph review - Morrissey Central

Great to hear about “Wedding Bell Blues”, it’s a lovely cover. I hope one night of the Broadway run was recorded - preferably Saturday or Tuesday - and will be released on DVD/BluRay. It would be brilliant if all of the nights were recorded and the additional songs had their own listing as a...

"California Son": 'Ultimate M Box' details - Morrissey Official FB (9 May, 2019)

I really like the bundle. It’s rather pricey, though, which is what will put me off purchasing it when the UK stock arrives. The more regions it launches in, the less valuable it is. It’s only a cheap player, the quality isn’t too bad, but it’s a massive markup for a change of decor, albeit...

"Mid90s" features "We'll Let You Know" in soundtrack

I attended an advanced screening of Mid90s last night. It’s a rough coming-of-age story, which makes it believable. The use of “We’ll Let You Know” is brilliant, the build up to the scene and the scene itself is perhaps the best in the film.
