on channel 4 text this morning its says a a new album out in may and first of the gang to die is first single, (rumour)

There was a small report on ZTV here in Sweden that also mentioned May as a possible time of release for the new album. Jerry Finn is also mentioned as the producer. Here is the original text in Swedish:

Kultbandet The Smiths förra sångare Morrissey är i studion igen. Han jobbar just nu på sitt första album sen -97. Skivan förväntas släppas i maj nästa år. Producerar gör Jerry Finn som tidigare jobbat med bland andra Green Day, Rancid och Blink 182.

Relax, recording is well underway, the album is going to be fantastic, and the long wait is almost over.
