It's interesting this song comes up for voting just before the release of That's How People Grow Up. I think they're cut from the same cloth. Very pop, not too deep, somewhat throwaway. I like these types of Morrissey songs as much as any other -- it depends on your mood.

Recently more fans have been complaining about Morrissey stretching out vowels and other vocal affectations in place of writing lyrics -- this song shows he's been doing it a while. I think the mock laughter/singing is great. 8

Ok, over it. where's today's poll? I WANT THE NEW POLL! HOUDINI!

it's gonna be 2 10's in a row

we'll let you know
[I hope we don't argue over,... its the turn of styles/ its the tunstiles... [that makes
us hostile]...the song is too good to argue about that, btw its turnstiles

well I wonder [doesn't count, it's so beautifull that its not ranking worthy]

9 for the brilliant live version with the crunchy guitars and the energetic vocals, 7 for the mediocre recorded version.
This was Alain Whyte's first composition for Moz...

Not bad. 7/10

10 for sentimental reasons. The CD single cover photos alone are worth 3 points.
