MAY SPAWNS 2 DVDS (link)
And we have 'Suedehead' video here. Bonus. WATCH!
28 May 2004

This Monday 31st May you will be able to get your big fey mits on not one but TWO Morrissey video titles being released for the first time ever on DVD.

"Hulmerist" was originally released on VHS in 1990 - it has been digitally remastered, visually enhanced, and it includes four top ten singles, spreading from 1988 to 1990. They were the first seven videos he made following his split with The Smiths. The DVD is interspersed with live footage from his legendary Wolverhampton Civic Hall gig in 1988.

"The Malady Lingers On" has been restored and ponced up, it features vids from the early 90's including 'You're The One For Me Fatty' (surely two songs within one song) and the rockerbillytastic 'Certain People I Know'.

Just to prove how ace Morrissey is, we've got Suedehead here, which features Morrissey nude in a bath (ooh er), and driving a tractor (ooh arr):

I'm selling the music that plays immediately before Morrissey comes on stage during his new tour. It's hard to get hold of, so might be of interest to fans.

Click here to see the eBay page featuring the item, which is in 12" format and was released in 1990.

As has already been discussed several times on this site, the piece of music is by Big Hard Excellent Fish and is titled Imperfect List.

As the title suggests, the record lists all the things that drag you down and crush your spirit daily, read out over five minutes with venomous resignation. It goes from Hillsborough to Hiroshima, "red sock in a white wash" to miscarriage, Jimmy Tarbuck to Adolf Hitler, "disloyal lover" to lost keys, "AIDS inventor" to Clause 28, and so on.

Big Hard Excellent Fish was actually Pete Wylie of Wah! fame. Josie Jones from the band spoke the words (often incorrectly attributed to the actor Margie Clarke).

Hope it's of interest.

Morrissey got in at #8 at YLE top 40, the official Finnish album list with "You Are the Quarry". Any beaten pop idols? No. Finnish Pop Idol Antti Tuisku is still at #1. Sorry. Still, an entry at number eight is remarkable, because the Finnish lists are always infested with domestic metal and other strange finnish... things. Here's the link.

Usher has 3 in top 10 - Billboard / Reuters. Excerpt:

'QUARRY' MAN

Morrissey returns to the Billboard 200 in a big way. Absent from the chart for seven years, the former Smiths singer has the highest-debuting and highest-charting album of his career. "You Are the Quarry" (Attack/Sanctuary) enters at No. 11, eclipsing the No. 18 debut and peak of "Vauxhall & I" in April 1994.

The highest-charting Smiths album was "Strangeways, Here We Come," which hit No. 55 in 1987.
