Yes agree. I was disappointed with the Brixton mosh pit. The young crowds are too well behaved and if you jostle somebody they're likely to cry and ask you be thrown out. Ally Pally was fabulous tho. Much more like the Moz mosh pits of old.
Love those covers, all 3. Fabulous. When you've seen all the tours over the years it's great to hear the new stuff too. I don't think I could stand another Meat is murder abattoir backdrop. The bullfighter dies is a refreshing change!
Notwithstanding the awful weather and that goddam walk up the hill from the station it was the BEST gig so far this tour and Moz clearly thought so too. 2 encore songs. He says he never works out be he clearly does with that ripped torso!
Yes the crowds have been statues and this is the most surprising..Moz mosh pits used to be the absolute nuts but the world has changed for the worse...
Jack the Ripper used to get the mosh pit going crazy, fans swarming the stage everyone going nuts. A Morrissey classic, but hardly a whimper from this young crowd. Truly disappointed. Brixton date was added fairly late so I'm hoping the old Moz superfans will be at Ally Pally. I will be!
I think it's the youngsters that are different. If you slightly nudge them they feel affronted and don't you dare sway around in the mosh, you'll be pointed at and and ejected.
The moshpit tho, non existent. Don't these young things know it's rock n roll and they're allowed to freak? It was all so tame in the crowd. The Moz moshpit used to be the best, I'm shocked really how it's changed.
Tamest mosh pit ever. I chose Brixton as its normally the best. Very youngish crowd. No moshing at all. Too polite. Too sanitised. But the set was fabulous. I wanted to go mental but I would have been the only one and probably ejected!
