Exactly what it says on the tin.
The best track from the 17 albums I bought and reviewed on my blog during the first quarter of 2010.

Anyone heard this? Definitely not your average Brit-Rock/Indie album!
You can't imagine, say, Noel Gallagher spending much time listening to it.
I suppose the closest comparison I can think of would be The Associates but that is not a perfect fit.
Any thoughts? I haven't made my mind...
Konstantimix 2007 is right here

well, it was a couple of hours ago the last time I checked.
I don't have time to type out the track listing but all the MP3's are clearly labelled with band name and track.
It's good, check it out...
I think Morrissey should cover Edwyn Collin's 'Coffee Table Song' (From 'Hope and Despair' 1989).
Not only would it connect the two most important figures in the UK independent music scene history for the first time, it's also the perfect song (especially the lyric) for Moz to sing.

I caught a Stock, Aitken and Waterman retrospective on some crappy cable channel last night.
I was surprised at how well some of their stuff had stood up, particularily the earlier material. Bananarama, Mel & Kim, Dead or Alive. Obviously it was pure pop music but at the same time it wasn't...

My shelves (two either side of the stereo) go from just below the ceiling right down to the floor and I'm afraid...
Last night I stopped listening to 'Simply Thrilled Honey' long enough to actually have a rummage around the darkest recesses of my 'record' collection. Enthralled with my own good taste, I picked 'five from the archive' that you've probably not heard before although I'm sure some of you will...
Any other fans?
The Smiths are one of my favourite bands but my absolute top favourite was/is Orange Juice, particularily their Postcard material.
In fact my Postcard obsession extends beyond just Orange Juice to every other group that recorded on the label - Josek K, Aztec Camera, The...
Recently (in fact yesterday) I posted an Associates mix on an other message board. Are 'unofficial' downloads frowned upon here or could I post the link for anyone that was interested?
It doesn't have 'Stephen You Were Really Something' on it :) but some people might not have heard them or...
Being a compulsive list maker I've actually developed a little mathematical formula (which is top secret like the recipe for Coca Cola) for 'ranking' albums.
Here's a little peak at my current tastes so you can get a handle on where I'm coming from musically.
TOP TEN OF 2006 (so far!)...
Recently I've been getting into Simple Minds earlier albums. Most of them are patchy but by the same logic there are usually a couple of real gems on each album.
Anyway, I was listening to the track 'The American' today from the Sons And Fascinations album and I suddenly realised why the end...
