Hmmm.... could make for an interesting evening.
Jose Gonzalez manages nice, hushed, finger-picked acoustica à la Elliott Smith (R.I.P.); warm and melancholy.
The numbers I've heard of Richard Hawley were rich and "dreamy": torchlit, bygone, and blue -- perhaps a little too balladeering; his vocals that of a badly weathered Roy Orbison.
The few songs and scraps I've caught of folk-rocker Josh Ritter left little impression beyond "capable lyricist". Two Gallants are a complete mystery.
Regardless, I couldn't imagine seeing any of the other performers in earnest... were I not already there for Lisa.
