Hi all,
I'm putting together a setlist (see below) for my band's upcoming show in Washington, DC and would appreciate any feedback. How does the ordering look, especially in terms of song pace and popularity?

Wish us luck!

Thanks,
B

Shoplifters of the World, Unite
Bigmouth Strikes Again
Please Let Me Get What I Want
This Charming Man
What Difference Does It Make?
Panic
Still Ill
Unhappy Birthday
The Boy with the Thorn in his Side
Handsome Devil
Girlfriend in a Coma
Sheila Take a Bow
Ask
Is It Really So Strange?
Hand in Glove
Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now
Girl Afraid
Some Girls are Bigger than Others
These Things Take Time
How Soon is Now?
William, It was Really Nothing
There is a Light that Never Goes Out

Me for one think its an amazing set list spec ending with "There Is A Light"

Looks great, but I would switch the 1st and 2nd song.
Bigmouth has a great intro!
Or maybe Panic as the opening song, as Morrissey is doing on his current tour?
You immediately catch the audience's attention I think with one of those two songs. :)

If I were you this is how I would have it run. Start with a rocker, end with an epic. And try not to mix and match them. Keep the harder things grouped together and keep the more acoustic songs grouped together.

If I were you however I would drop a few songs in place of others...

Such as:

Unhappy Birthday - London
Girl Afraid - I Want The One I Can't Have
These Things Take Time - You've Got Everything Now
Sheila Take A Bow - Shakespeare's Sister

Thanks for the feedback, everyone. I'll do some rearranging. Yes, as stated, Bigmouth or Panic would make a better opener than Shoplifters. And yes, we need to add some songs like Shakespeare's Sister.

Thanks again,
Koosh

erm just an opinion but maybe not 'Shakespears Sister', I don't think that's a real favourite

It actually is quite popular amongst many fans. And not everything in the setlist has to be the most popular song, it can be whatever kooshari wants to play. But I do wholeheartedly recommend that you keep These Things Take Time, and play it early on in the set. That song is criminally underrated.

No morrissey songs!?
sister i'm a poet to open i say!

That's a fair question! The bandmates and I have talked about it, but haven't gotten around to practicing them yet. If we do, I'm thinking some combination of Suedehead, The More You Ignore Me, and The Last of the Famous International Playboys. I'm (only slightly) sorry to say no one will ever hear us playing Sister, I'm a Poet! ;)
