yeah, i feel like whenever i come here to talk about it that i'll be greeted with "pffft! that's SO passe!"

i'm happy to wait. i think once that first song was leaked that it was enough of a taste to satiate my curiosity. they have become real pop songs and not overblown into Beethoven's 9th, which is what i think is what created the most animosity amongst the haters. for the next month (or will it be week and a half?) i can decompress and pick it up like how i picked up Belle and Sebastian's newest album, unburdened by killer desire to even hear the thing, and be totally surprised by it.
