Does anyone recall the name of the Noel Coward song chosen by Morrissey on the Front Row interview of 2009? Ta.
Isn't that the song that he borrows the "I do believe the more you give your love..." line from for "Found Found Found"?
Hi,
This was fun researching, and I have an answer for you!
The interview where the Noel Coward song is chosen isn't the Front Row from 2009, here is a link to that interview...
http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b00hhn5h/Front_Row_18_02_2009/
The interview where it does occur is here...http://www.kcrw.com/music/programs/mb/mb080829morrissey?searchterm=Morrissey
The song is There Are Bad Times Just Around The Corner and it is from KCRW's Guest DJ Project in August 2008.
Hope that is what you were looking for, I couldn't find anything further, so maybe this is it!
No. Thats "If Love Were All"
CRAAAAAAAAAP!
I was off digging and you STOLE MY THUNDER and posted an answer to your own question!!
Here's me feeling all useful and helpful....
oh well, there's the link to the interview, anyway.
bleh.
Yes, you're right, of course:
"I believe the more you love a man,
The more you give your trust,
The more you're bound to lose"
Hmmmm... nobody knows, of course, but there are those who would suggest Hogg, I suppose.
Obviously at the time some people claimed the song was about Stipe, which I doubt. But period pictures of them together are rather charming.
There's one here:

(Plus some others I must admit I haven't seen before.)
