How many of you were here?

I used to talk to Ilene all the time as well. By 94 she had so many phone calls that she used to send out updates via snail mail.

One time I ended up talking to Howie Klein. We talked about the Your Arsenal singles and he made it sound like Morrissey wanted Fatty to be a US single and Sire basically insisted on Tomorrow.

Haha, I used to speak to Ilene a lot as well, and Howie a bit, but Ilene was a bit more personable, as I am sure you know. I wonder how irritated they got by all of us? I remember getting the tracklisting for Vauxhall from her before the zines broke it, and being so utterly excited when she read me the titles. The Morri'Zine was the one that was run by Nicole Garrison and Rob Nebeker? (I think), but I have no idea what happened to them, although about 5 or 6 years ago, I saw Nicole had put all of her stuff for sale on ebay, including all of her framed Moz disc awards, etc. Sandy is still around, and I still get to see her occasionally, but she doesn't live in the states anymore... Not sure about Erin H, but she was in St Louis for the birthday show in 2007.

How in the sam hell does one go from being such a diehard fan in running a very (IMO) succesfull zine to then selling all your Moz gear on fleabay?...I guess some fans are bigger (fans) than others. Ive been goind since '88 and I dont see me EVER stoping.
I met Howie at a Moz convention in '93 or '94 and he just seemed like a fan, I mean I dont know what was going on "behind" the scenes over at Sire however, he looked like he was a fan of Moz. He gave me a very limited promo badge that reads "Theres Nothing Left To Break", took it off his jacket and gave it to me.

You totally misunderstand Paulc's thread which is a discussion about remarkable moments of Morrissey and Smiths' work as a whole.
It's not a thread about users' experiences.
