But why could anyone bring him to the idea when he already knew why BOT was not released? Doesn't him coming round to the idea imply maybe there's truth to it... when there was none? He could have removed Miley's vocals and released his record. No conspiracy to silence him because of his views.

You only ever know what someone's told you - so* the management says Miley has a personal reason for not being on the record, then you hear gossip that it's actually her record company because your reputation stinks, then you hear gossip that it's actually your record company because they think the subject matter is offensive. You're hurt that you're being silenced & anxious that you've lost it. There's a flurry of blogs/vlogs/pods containing utter shite like "he's so brave, he's our hero, he says what everyone is thinking" - when it's actually something far more extreme than you've ever said. Your nephew has been taken in by the fawning & tells you "most people think you're right & you're a hero". Your record company is seeing the same stuff & thinking "I would rather be dead than associated with pond scum even Kid Rock wouldn't touch with a barge pole". Miley's record company would rather you were dead. And Miley is unavailable.

He seems to have been in this kind of vicious circle since at least 2014.

She said in an interview that members of some forum called 'GayForMorrisSolo' kept harassing her :unsure: Poor woman! - hopefully they back off!

Michelle Jubelirer once said this:

“Morrissey is a truly singular artist whose music and live performances first captured a worldwide audience thirty years ago and never let go. He is uncompromising in his integrity, extremely devoted to his fans and an artist with a unique and needed voice in our culture. It’s so great that Morrissey is with CMG, and, more important, that he is about to record his first new album in five years.”
