I don't doubt you.
His (Depp) liquidation of assets in Los Angeles has been going on for some time - the more the court has persued him.
I believe I posted something years ago about the house being on the market - if he's about to lose it after purchasing it - it fully makes sense.
It will probably appear on the higher end realtors sites before any other information emerges.

(I'm assuming we are on about the North Sweetzer Ave property that Morrissey sold in '05 for about 2 million(anecdotal)).

Yes, that house. I hadn't looked on it in years, only to find that Depp (or more likely his mis-managers) bought it and half the street and then cashed out massive amounts of equity.
