I believe it's on at the Odeon in Leicester Sq at 6:30. Before I attend I shall have to dig out my copy of Terry & Gerry's excellent song "The good, the bad and the usherette" which mentions the Odeon in Leicester Square. Never were songs more sing-alongable!

Re: New York Doll in Last Saturday

Love them or loathe the New York Dolls, I have to say that the film 'New York Doll' is a well-made documentary of the band that Morrissey loves. It's difficult to say the film is enjoyable because of the tragic character Arthur 'Killer' Kane. I found myself asking why no one had spotted that he wasn't well - but I suppose most people figure that if you jump out of a third floor window and land on your head then you might seem a little frail for a long time afterwards.

There are a few laughs in the film and seeing Mozzer in Technicolor on the silver screen is terrific. He never looked better (bet he made sure he was happy with the rushes - or whatever they are called). I swear that you can see his contact lenses there's so much detail.
