No surprises really...................

Johnny Marr has declared there is no foundations to recent stories that his old band The Smiths are to reform.

Marr issued a statement to NME.COM saying that rumours floating around that the band were reuniting were "untrue".

He declared: "The stories circulating about a Smiths reunion are, as usual, untrue."

Marr added he was committed to his current band The Cribs.

"I'm currently very excited about writing and recording with The Cribs for a new album to be released next summer and we're playing shows in February, so going back in time isn't in my plans," he said.

I am so pleased about that. Even though I was born the year they split up. I would of hated to see them sell out like all the rest of these so called legends!

...would the silly bint who writes for the Sunday Mirror, oh and that Joe Mott please take note...following their snide remarks in the weekend's gutter press....(and for anyone fortunate enough not to have read them, it was the same old trite nonsense about the Smiths being miserable...blah blah...ad nauseum!)

I for one am shocked at this news - shocked I say!
