You know when this was written, right? You know it wasn't written as a comment on today's issues?

You don't think something written in one context can have meaning in another context? I'd say the issues of "today" might have some relevance to the issues of the recent past.
What exactly is the meaning of the line as you see it?

Beautifully apt.

Maybe even more so for the song was titled Interesting Drug.
Still wondering what that drug could be than, and now.
Is it the same drug?
Or a different one and it makes no difference?

Wasn't this around the time he admitted to have been taken XTC once? And it was quite an experience for him cause he saw himself in the mirror or metaphorically as a person and loved what he saw, and escaped from this person as being in miserable bones and skin? Even if it only lasted for an hour or so? He felt love.

Wasn't this the reason for the interesting drug being named as interesting?
Or did he sang from another's person feelings and viewpoints?
An existing person, or a personage his fantasy created.
Interesting song. :)
Always liked it very much.

It's fun to watch the bots talk politics. Almost as ignorant as Silly Steven and Russell Bland.

Sam needs to give up on the whole 'artist' idea. It's very unbecoming to go around with an iPhone and call yourself a photographer.

Almost like an amateur cartoonist calling himself an artist... ahem

The numpty nephew has so much potential if only he would concentrate on his Gary Barlow tribute act !
Girls are crying out for a Barlow lookalike to appear at their weddings in the U K for some reason.
That Russell Braindamage twunt character  I think he fell on his own sword trying to organise a revolution, didn't he ?:drama::clap::laughing::tiphat:

Everybody is clever nowadays.

Everybody is clever nowadays.

Really?
Maybe when Buzzcocks did that song.
But if you consider nowadays as really nowadays I seriously doubt about that statement.
And since 8 November I think everybody is dumb nowadays.
Me too. Ignorence is bliss. :ha-no:

The Buzzers did "Everybody's happy nowadays"
Morrissey did "Everybody's clever nowadays" via Oscar Wilde

You proved my ignorance is bliss. Thanks. :o
But did Moz say that in a song?
And what's the connection with Oscar Wilde?
Can't remember it right now.
Cheers
