i don't think i am. i just didn't rate the performance and hated all the fawning reviews that are around. the only thing i wish i'd said in my review is that people who live very mundane existences were allowed, for a few hours at least, to really let go and express themselves which is...
look, i thought it was shit. i agree, i had preconceptions that probably informed my final opinion and if that makes the review worthless then fine. also, i'm sorry if it touched a nerve, it was supposed to be a slightly alternative view from the fan boy write ups i've seen thus far. as for the...
I thought the gig was shocking and here is my review http://passionsjustlikemine.wordpress.com/2012/06/30/the-past-was-yours-but-the-futures-mine-the-stone-roses-heaton-park/
Thank you very much for the reply, it is so nice that you chose to have a bloody good listen and reply! We are a very new band and so I am encouraged with your feedback. Obviously, I am disappointed that you did not like my lyrics, because I feel I am singing my life as it were, but I must take...
Hello, me and my band LISBON have just recorded an EP. I would be so grateful if some of you could take the time to listen and give me some feedback. I am here because I presume most of you have impeccable music taste! The link below is to a stream/free download of the EP. Thank you...

Is anyone here into Yeasayer? If you are, then this may interest you. I was lucky enough to interview singer and multi instrumentalist Anand Wilder a few weeks ago and the interview can be found on my blog (link below).
I saw the article and have since read much of the blog and I have to say I agree. Although they seem to take their criticisms a litle too far, on the whole the message is absolutley spot on.
Hello, I recently attended Manchester's HUNGRY PIGEON festival. It happens every year on the May bank holiday weekend and it is really starting to grow. This year was the 2nd year the event has taken place and it is a great way to check out emerging talent in Manchester. If you buy a weekend...
Re: wossy has the Drums on next week
i thought their performance on jonathon ross was excellent. love pierce's moves and the way he sings. they just seem to have a knack of writing great pop melodies. it would not surprise me if they supported morrissey soon.
sorry, i'm a bit slow. are you saying mine was more favourable? i think you are because he was a little more critical. i think he has seen them more often, i was struck by thier quality. me and folly agreed on the sound though, that's for sure!
not sure how many morrissey-soloers are into the current brooklyn music 'scene' but the latest band from there to hit the uk are a band called BEAR IN HEAVEN. they are very good indeed. i caught thier gig at the deaf institute last week and i have reviewed it on my blo. there is also a review of...
