Exactly, the digital ID information would be accessible to state representatives: the police, of course, and possibly a Covid-enforcement team of some sort. That’s at the heart of the idea. To not have the vaccination would equate to being a second class citizen.
If the supposition is that it will not impact on individual freedoms, then why have it on the ID in the first place? The state keeps vaccination records already.
Tony Blair advanced the idea in the context of Covid. He’s formerly appealed to ideas of crime, safety and terrorism. And it was a the front of an agenda when he was PM. This is scarcely conspiracy theory.

And there's none so stupid as those who just make shit up...There's none so blind as those who can't see...
Didn't stop them invading Iraq though, leaving so many dead that they stopped counting.
Please explain what we’re not getting about the Digital ID proposal—as it’s being advanced in the Covid context. What is the benign purpose you perceive? And there's none so stupid as those who just make shit up...
It's your claim that such an ID leads inexorably to 'compulsory vaccination.' It's an empty claim, not least because (a) Tony Blair has been banging on about such things for about two decades and got precisely nowhere with it, and (b) the current Tory shitshow are about as likely to listen to Blair as they are to you or me.Please explain what we’re not getting about the Digital ID proposal—as it’s being advanced in the Covid context. It also didn't involve the only people knowing about it being a few internet sleuths.
The sources quoted above were The Express, National Geographic, and the BBC.
Are those not good enough for you?
It’s hardly unfounded.Good enough for what? It's speculation.

There are vaccines, it’s their safety, cost and long term viability that’s now being tested. There was a form of vaccination right from the get go—through blood transfusion. It is, because there's not even a vaccine yet nevermind plans to force it onto the public against their will or create pockets of people who can't go anywhere because they're not vaccinated.
Yep, speculation in the mainstream media and society at large. Not just a few 'internet sleuths' and cranks...
Should the debate happen after the horse has bolted, so we’re sure and not just speculating?Gash, do you not know the difference between people discussing things that could happen & you saying things will happen?

Need not worry the both of you. You will see your masters in due time. Verso will be waiting! And there's none so stupid as those who just make shit up...
