I'm not threatening anyone.

The person that hinted an adults relationship with a certain child is 'creepy' needs to be careful what the say

And maybe read up on defamation laws, indirect hints are often used in cases.

It's a very serious thing, you idiot

After reading all of the heartfelt comments from everyone who went to his show in Brooklyn last night (which I couldn't go because I was working), I can't wait to see him next weekend in Port Chester, NY?!? Yeah, I never heard of that place either. SOOO PUMPED!!!

Are you seriously crazy? " unsuspecting pawn", "sinister game" - please get a grip on reality.

He has enough sinister shit to deal with without entertaining your creepy fascination to thrust your kid up on stage to prove he writes your blog? Reads your blog? What is it again? :squiffy: Anyway, yeah. You're using your kid as a pawn to get attention, I'm not the one who needs to get a grip on reality.

Just when so many think the man is down and out he delivers an amazing show. Does this show make it into the top all time 10 best gigs? If such a list exists.

Thanks Anaesthesine and others for the great reviews.

Does anyone possess any information in regards to the backdrop?

I don't know but I know my mom is wearing pants like that lady EVERY DAY even though it's freezing out and she won't explain why. I even took her to Kohls and bought her a pair of full length pants, she refuses. It's her thing now.

me neither but i'll be there

Because MorisseysWorld is a hoax, and the bluerosesociety was created by the same hoaxer to propagate this stupid myth! It's a conspiracy theory about a blog site! That has to be the lamest conspiracy theory ever. I always imagined Morrissey's fans wouldn't buy into such tripe, because of their taste in music. Turns out taste doesn't always = intelligence and that saddens me.

Why would Morrissey create a blog site with his name in the link and then say everything on that website is a falsehood? It's a dumb premise.

You could say, "Well he's dishing the dirt, he wants to say certain things, but doesn't really want them linked back to him."

OK, so what dirt has been dished there exactly? None.

Morrissey is the most outspoken popular musician currently. He doesn't care about outraging people and he never has, he isn't afraid of anyone's wrath.

MorrisseysWorld and Blue Rose Society are the works of a failed writer and his brainwashed child; and I fear for both of their mental health's.

But, it isn't hurting you. So what if it's a hoax? So what if it's real?? What difference does it really make to you? Just because it's not real to you doesn't mean it isn't real to someone else. Maybe you think it's lame. Okay. Fine. You have the right to feel that way. Lots of people feel that God is just a hoax. I don't agree with that, but I have an open mind and respect their opinion. That's all it is, really - an opinion.

Who said there was "dirt to dish"?

I agree that Morrissey is "the most outspoken popular musician" - only I wouldn't say "currently." I'd add - "...to ever grace the pages of music history." He DOES care about outraging people, or he wouldn't say the things he does about Politics, The Royal Family, and Animal Rights. Think about that a minute.

I will say this about MorrisseysWorld - it was/is fun to visit. The people are really nice and they do concentrate on being positive about him and his music. I understand if people don't like the new songs, but here they don't just express their dislike, they spew their hatred all over the place like blistering lava from a volcano. Constructive criticism is one thing; being truly hurtful and ugly is another.

Who is to say that if it's not Morrissey that he doesn't like the idea of a place like MorrisseysWorld?

Ha! It's all so...hmmm...atomic.

Sorry. :o Wish I knew the answer to your question, I have no idea. But now that you're up to speed on my mom's wardrobe...lol.

OK, Morrissey had nothing to do with arranging the kid's invasion. The kid's dad conferred with Arturo, who cleared it with the security guy right next to the kid & his dad... I was a foot away and overheard the conversation. It's not a conspiracy, it's not a big deal. It was just, "He's going up, is that ok?" Morrissey actually looked a little pissed (as did Arturo et al) when the cute little twerp would not let go of him.

Also, the British guy who pulled the stocking cap over his head was what was creepy. If anything, the kid's face and name should not be tossed around on the internet. If I were his parents, I'd be a little more protective of my kid's name and identity. And lest anyone threaten me: this is a US based site and we have freedom of speech here. But good parents don't slather their kids' names and faces all over public sites in a bid to get attention from popstars. Morrissey's subject matter is actually pretty mature and I don't let my kids listen to all of the songs. Not that they want to.

(Hey Pregs!)

Holy hell what a night! The Man was in fantastic form - one of the best Morrissey shows I've seen. I wasn't going to go and only got tickets at the last minute, but I inexplicably (and unexpectedly) found myself right in front; the stage was about two feet high and there were no barriers of any kind. Morrissey was so close for much of the show that I could have reached out and touched him (which, indeed, I did). It was remarkable that everyone down front stayed in place; all we had to do was step up and we would have all been onstage. I suppose everyone realized that the gig would have ended at that point, which would have been awful. During "Still Ill" several invaders made it, and most were quite gentle.

The man was in top form: he was coy, teasing and obviously very moved by the enthusiastic crowd. He took all that audience love and threw it right back, flashing the occasional broad smile and even giggling in parts. He walked on and said something like: "You know what happens when you're in the front row don't you? You get whipped!" Cheeky. Very chatty, very engaging. Apparently someone at the New York Times suggested that he needed therapy, which really put his back up. "Therapy! therapy! therapy!" he kept barking.

This was a fairly strong set list, and the energy seldom flagged (even during the dire "People are the Same Everywhere"). The highlight was undoubtedly "Maladjusted," which is one of my favorite songs ever, by anyone. I've seen him sing it several times and it's always left me slightly disappointed - it's such an abstract song (without a driving beat or catchy chorus) that it easily falls flat live. Not this time: I've seen him "perform" it before, but tonight he PREACHED it. Magnificent. "Alma Matters" was equally beautiful, and "Meat is Murder" was brutal and overwhelming. I'm always thankful that someone has been able to articulate such a profound emotional truth.

Morrissey looked fantastic - he's showing his age but he still has that unique, graceful way of holding his body that is unmistakeable. There were times when he was standing to the side of the stage, gazing out at the crowd and bathed in blue light, and he looked absolutely beautiful. It was as if the years had melted away. Most importantly, his voice was superb. He didn't vocally falter at all, in fact he sang with great passion and (most importantly) emotional nuance. His falsettos were lovely and tonight he really savored the notes. He didn't phone in anything - he was right in the moment, and the crowd was right there with him. Brooklyn, hell yeah.

I should not have doubted that Morrissey is still capable of such a heartfelt, captivating evening. Despite the occasional nonsense with the press and the inexplicable bouts of insensitivity, Morrissey is still capable of delivering an emotional punch that no one else can equal. What a remarkable, singular, essential artist.

Oh, and the bit where he introduced the band by "reading" off their names as Oscar nominees and then ripping open an envelope and announcing: "and the Oscar goes to... Taylor Swift!" Hysterical.

Nice account of the gig - he was (and is) truly great last night - LOVE him...
